It’s Carnival Time… Napoleon Avenue Fence

J & I love this shot that he took on Napoleon Avenue just blocks from the house a couple years ago. We even “fought” over it for our facebook cover pic. He won! The shot is so New Orleans.

I sent the photo to Lisa Papa, a Thibodaux artist, to use her creativity on one of her homemade lumbar pillows. I love the progress she has made. More later!

From fence to art, y’all!

  1. Ron, that picture is gorgeous I see why you both would love it. Are the pillows going to be for sale? Or is it just a project she is working on for you??

    Have a blessed week.

  2. Good morning, Ron! I can't wait to see the finished pillow! I love Lisa's work. Have a great day! xoxo

  3. I love your blog, I love your house, I love New Orleans!

    Judy from So. Cal. :)

  4. Perfect! Yesterday, I was driving down Prytania and saw a woman decorating her wrought iron fence with beads!

  5. Oh how festive! Just a grand look for the Mardi Gras!!!!

  6. So fun! I can't wait to see it on a pillow?!

  7. Wow! That pillow is going to be so neat!! Great photo.

  8. The photo is so fabulous....what a great idea to have a pillow made! Can't wait to see it finished.......

  9. What fun to have that image recreated on a pillow! I do love that shot too- it definitely reflects the celebrating that goes on in NOLA!

  10. That's going to be a stunning pillow. You are so clever, Ron. I'd rather have the image on a pillow than FB any day. Ha!

  11. Love the pic and what a great idea to put it on a pillow. Can't wait to see it finished and see where you put it!
