Guilty Pleasure {Southern Charm}

I was so happy for the return of Shep, Cameran, Craig, Whitney, Thomas, and especially Patricia on last night's premier of Southern Charm on Bravo.

Patricia definitely steals this show. The gal loves her martinis.

This season looks like it will be a doozie full of good ole reality TV drama.

For those of you that have never heard of Southern Charm:
"Southern Charm" reveals a world of exclusivity, money and scandal dating back through generations of families in Charleston, S.C. The docuseries follows several Charleston singles as they pursue their personal and professional lives while trying to preserve their family names because just one social faux pas can taint a family's name for generations. Featured singles include law student Craig, who helps underprivileged children who have been taken from their parents; modern Southern woman Cameran, who now works in real estate after spending 10 years in the cosmetics industry; former state treasurer Thomas, who is active in organizations that promote free enterprise; raconteur Shep, who is ready to tackle life's curve balls; and filmmaker Whitney, who is a classically trained guitarist. My favorite character is Whitney's socialite mother, Patricia.

Are you watching Southern Charm? I cannot wait until next week for sure.

Southern Charm, y'all!

  1. Patricia is wonderful, too bad her son is such a misfit. Loved when she called Thomas and Kathryn both morons!

  2. Sounds intriguing! I don't get Bravo but I get Netflix. Perhaps I can find reruns on there. Love the last picture- staring at the decorating!

  3. Good morning, Ron! I've never heard of Southern Charm, but then, again, I don't watch much television. I guess my "guilty pleasures" would be The Young and the Restless and Days of Our Lives! ;) Have a great day! xoxo

  4. I enjoy your blog, but I must comment here. As a resident of Charleston and someone who knows Thomas in real life, I would never watch this show. He's truly a spoiled person. This show is an embarrassment to us all.

    1. I do watch the show and I can tell Thomas is a jerk and I don't know him. I can relate to the way you feel. Im from Texas and when the show "Dallas" was on, I felt embarrassed at times because that is not the way Texas really is. I enjoy "Southern Charm" even though I know it is scripted and I take it with a grain of salt. I know this is not indicative of the people in Charleston.

    2. I get it. I watch for entertain purposes only. I am not a "SWAMP PEOPLE" either as portrayed on TV. LOL!

    3. Sorry to be venting. I just hate to see spoiled, entitled-acting people profit from a show about their ridiculously shallow lives. I never thought about the show Dallas that way. I definitely watched that back in the 80's :)

  6. I have not seen this show. It sounds like another reality show that could be fun to watch even though I can't relate to that lifestyle.

  10. Love love the show. We were in a Irish pup in.Memphis and met two interesting gentleman. They gave us there card and they owned a restaurant in Charleston. I had to ask if they new anyone from the show. Oh the stories they told! T rav really is a jerk and is much worse than the show shows him to be. They didn't think much of Katherine either. We hope to go there someday as my husband has a Irish friend there. I will be on a hunt for all of them. Bravo is the best and I am in love with Andy Cohen.
