Heaux. Heaux. Heaux. {My Home at Dusk}

I love the evenings between Thanksgiving and Christmas. At 5:00 PM, the lights automatically turn on, and the facade of the house "glows" in white lights.

The look is magical. The look is breathtaking. The look says Christmas to me. Can you tell that I adore this season?

This year, I added a set of the copper wire "fairy" lights around each doorway and on each live wreath. I do think they are appealing at night.

I even added the New Orleans streetcar handpainted by Melissa Henry of Show Me the Door to the transom of the entrance.

  1. Beautiful job, Ron! All the lights really do make everything look so magical!

  2. So breathtakingly beautiful! You have done an amazing job as usual. Love those deers and the way you have them adorned in fresh greens and bows. Happy Holidays!!!

  3. OMG, Ron, the facade of your home indeed looks so magical at dusk when the lights go on--so festive and "Christmassy"! Those "fairy" lights really make a difference on the garland around the front door and the live wreaths! Love the addition of the streetcar to the transom. I'm ready for you to "open the door" so that we can see the inside of your house! Have a great day! xoxo

  4. It is just BEAUTIFUL, Ron. I love a house that is all garlanded and lit up at night. By 'fairy lights' do you mean the ones with the round little bulbs? I have some of those out front this year, too. Love them. I only have about 1/3 of my stuff this year- the rest is packed away in a warehouse we rented...sigh...but it is what it is and there is always next year. xo Diana

  5. Your home always looks beautiful at Christmas! You do such a good job decorating it and playing up it's best features. I love those wire fairy lights too. I use them on my mantel mixed in the greenery.

  6. So festive and beautiful! I love the fairy lights and the street car sign you added. I need someone up here to help me get my buns in gear with my Christmas deco!
