Mardi Gras {From My Front Porch}

One of the things I love about living in Uptown New Orleans is the Mardi Gras season. From the rocker on my front porch, I love being able to witness the Sophie B. Wright High School band practice for the upcoming parade season. I certainly missed the band during the school's three year renovation.

It is like my own parade daily from the front porch.

I took this video of my front porch night before last. I love the twinkly lights.

From the Porch, y'all!

  1. Aww..lucky you! What fun!! I used to love living in the historic district where there was always something going on street-wise. Hope you have a great weekend- I started a new FUN thing on my blog today-check it out if you get the chance and let me know what you think. xo Diana

  2. Sounds and looks like fun from your front porch. I love how you go all out. xo

  3. Good morning, Ron! Seeing the band reminds me of when I was in the band at Holy Savior. When we would march through Lockport practicing for parades, people would come out of their houses and cheer us on! Love the twinkly lights on your facade at night! Have a great day! xoxo

  4. You are truly so lucky Ron! Your on the best street too!

Thanks for reading and commenting @ The Uptown Acorn! I love hearing from you. Cheers, y'all!
