From Our Home to Yours {Christmas: Den and Dining Rooms}

In the rear of the house is an open room which houses our den (the place we lounge and watch TV) and the dining room. Both have been decorated for the Christmas season in a very traditional way.

The tabletop tree in the den is Suzanne Kasler for Ballard Designs. I filled the tree with a woodland theme using pheasant feathers, found antlers, turtle shells, and ornaments including pheasants, pine cones, and of course, acorns.

Even my antler collection received some Christmas joy.

Various Christmas items are spread throughout the shelves of the built-in.

In the dining area, green cedar garlands hang atop the chandelier and artwork. An arrangement of glittered poms fill a ceramic vessel on the buffet.

Red berries and greens complement vases and displays on the French-style baker's shelves.

The paper mache' deer head backed with more cedar hangs in the rear French door which overlooks the backyard.

Christmas is a special time of year in our home, and I hope it shows. For sources, just comment and I'll reply.

  5. As always Ron you’ve done a beautiful job decorating! The SK tree is perfect and I like the ornaments you chose for it. The big clam shell looks gorgeous with the ornaments you arranged so nicely! I’m enjoying seeing things I remember from your other home finding new places in your new cottage! 🎄

  7. Oh Ron what a great spot to curl up and enjoy watching TV. I love the coziness to this room. Also love the antler collection up above the TV so whimsy and beautiful. You knocked it out of the park as always Ron. Love this room decked out for Christmas.

  9. That den screams comfort and joy! And Suzanne Kasler wishes her trees looked that good! Love the detail you've added Ron. At some point, I hope you will share how you and J are storing all your fabulous decor in your new cottage. It will be my project to downsize in my [near?] future and I really want/need to know.
