Flashback Friday {Mardi Gras: For the Love of Purple, Green, and Gold}

Two years ago, J and I's Perrier home was featured in a local magazine. I still LOVE the feature. Laissez les bon temps rouler!

I've been keeping a secret, a big secret. For me, keeping a secret is a huge deal because I am horrible at it.

J and I's Mardi Gras home was photographed in back in January by James Gaffney of ADORE magazine which is part of the New Orleans Advocate. If you have not seen the magazine, you must locate a copy if you are local. It is truly the perfect magazine to share over some coffee tawk.

The magazine hit the shelves today. I'm so excited to share the feature with you.The article was beautifully written by Katy Danos, a friend and editor of the magazine.

You can link to the entire magazine and the article on pages 46-47 by clicking HERE. The feature, For the Love of Purple, Green, and Gold is HERE.

The feature is titled, For the Love of Purple, Green, and Gold. Only in New Orleans would anyone think the three colors of carnival would looking great together and decorating a home at that.

The article showcases the various vignettes and collections I have throughout the home. I love how the writer placed emphasis on my support of many local artists. I definitely enjoy supporting local businesses as well as local artists.

Featured are my collections of pottery, decoupaged trays, Muses shoes, carnival flowers, wooden sculptures, and pillows.

In the coming days, I want to highlight some of the local artists I support at this time of year --- Lorraine Gendron, Brian Bush, Lisa Papa, Sea Gem Studios.
