If you are looking for a great show to binge on, the Safe on Netflix is your choice. J and I watched all 8 episodes last weekend. We just could not stop watching.

Widowed surgeon Tom has struggled to raise his two daughters alone following his wife's death a year ago. Things seem to be on the right track for the family, who live in a gated community, because they have close friends nearby and Tom is in the early stages of a new relationship. But the situation takes a turn for the worse when Jenny, Tom's oldest daughter, goes missing along with her boyfriend. Tom enlists girlfriend Sophie, a police detective, to help locate the teens, but her new partner is working her own agenda. As the investigation intensifies, Tom unearths dark secrets about the people closest to him in his affluent neighborhood. The drama series was created by mystery novelist Harlan Coben.

Must Watch (Spotlight}

J and I spent a lazy Sunday and caught up on Netflix. We finally watched the 2016 Academy Award Winner for Best Picture, Spotlight. It was quite enlightening.

Being raised Catholic and attending Catholic school for 13 years, I have been quite intrigued with the sexual abuse scandals of the Catholic church and the cover-ups. We were just enthralled in The Keepers.

Spotlight is the true story of how the Boston Globe uncovered the massive scandal of child molestation and cover-up within the local Catholic Archdiocese, shaking the entire Catholic Church to its core.

Must Watch: {The Keepers}

It was such a great weekend with nothing to do and nowhere to be. J & I watched the docuseries, The Keepers, on Netflix. With 7 episodes, it is an easy series to binge watch in one or two days.

As a Catholic school student for 13 years, this series definitely peaked my interest. After all, one of my elementary school's priests was a convicted pedophile. This was a huge story in my church parish of St. Genevieve and my hometown of Thibodaux, LA. Read more HERE.

Netflix's latest docuseries tackles the unsolved murder of Cathy Cesnik, a beloved nun and Catholic high school teacher in Baltimore. After disappearing on Nov. 7, 1969, Cesnik's body was found nearly two months later -- but to this day, the killer remains unnamed. In the '90s, the case returned to the spotlight after one of Cesnik's former students accused the high school's chaplain of sexual abuse, and claims that she was taken to Cesnik's then undiscovered corpse and threatened. Director Ryan White pieces together the story through conversations with friends, relatives, journalists, government officials and Baltimore citizens, hoping to uncover the truth.

Must See {The Crown}

This weekend was the coldest in New Orleans that we have experienced in a while, so J & I vegged and binge-watched all 10 episodes of the Netflix drama, The Crown.

If you have not seen The Crown, you must put it on your must see list. 

Based on an award-winning play ("The Audience") by showrunner Peter Morgan, this lavish, Netflix-original drama chronicles the life of Queen Elizabeth II (Claire Foy) from the 1940s to modern times. The series begins with an inside look at the early reign of the queen, who ascended the throne at age 25 after the death of her father, King George VI. As the decades pass, personal intrigues, romances, and political rivalries are revealed that played a big role in events that shaped the later years of the 20th century.

The acting and the sets are awe-inspiring.

My Guilty Pleasure {Bloodline}

This past weekend, J & I binge watched the newest, 10-episode season of Bloodline, and it was soooooooooo good. It is one of those mysterious dramas that keeps you wanting more. I still cannot believe that season 2 was only 10 episodes. I can hardly wait for season 3. Set in the glorious Florida Keys, the Rayburn Family makes the Carrier-David Family (my fam) seem quite normal.

From the creators of "Damages," "Bloodline" is a dramatic thriller that explores the demons lurking beneath the surface of a contemporary American family. The Rayburns are hard-working pillars of their Florida Keys community, but their past contains dark secrets that they hope remain buried. Paranoia and mistrust build as lies pile up, alliances are shattered, and an unthinkable crime takes place. The tight-knit family's formerly harmonious relationship deteriorates, and good people are forced to consider doing very bad things.

If you are not watching, get to Netflix now. This intriguing series will keep you wanting even more.

Guilty Pleasure {Making a Murderer}

All I am going to say is "Oh my God!" Well? Not really? Here I go...

I finished the 10th and final installment of the Netflix documentary, Making a Murderer.

Have you seen this show yet? If you haven't, you must.

True-crime stories have become a hot commodity, and Netflix is getting into the game with a new 10-part documentary series called Making a Murderer. Directed by Laura Ricciardi and Moira Demos, the show tracks the life of Steven Avery, who served 18 years for a crime DNA evidence later indicated he had not committed. Later, while fighting a legal battle over his previous incarceration, Avery became a suspect in a new heinous murder case.

You know I love Law & Order and all of its spin-offs, and I really like this true-to-life documentary. I was intrigued from the first episode. You will be hooked too.

I have always believed that small town law enforcement folks can do whatever they want (even illegal) to make a case- plant evidence, muddy testimony, and more. This show to me proves this. Don't get me wrong, I respect the cops, but like in everything, there are BAD "eggs".

I do not want to give too much away, but I can only hope Mr. Avery and Mr. Dassey get a second chance. My heart thinks they were "framed".
