Parlor & Stair Parlor {Post Christmas/Pre Mardi Gras}

Fortunately J & I took out Christmas decorations down last Monday, so I do not have to deal with that during my time of recovery. By now, I usually have my Mardi Gras decorations in place for January 6th, but you know how that went.

I wanted to show you how the parlor and stair parlor look without any of my usual seasonal decor.

I did leave the real magnolia garland on the stairs until the Mardi Gras garland replace them. Pine needle sprays also remain in the faux bois mercury glass vessel on the center table.

I hope you enjoy the tour because I hope to add some purple, green, and gold by the weekend. You know I’ll be sharing with you all.

Thanks again for the continued prayers. I am getting stronger by the day. J has been such a doll.

Parlor time, y’all!

  1. I know you are just itching to start putting up the purple, green, and gold and can't wait to see the transformation of the parlor as well as the rest of your home. Rest up, Ron! Have a great day! <3

  2. Glad you are getting stronger. Being less than stellar is the pits!! Had a summer of that in 2012.
Your home is luvly.. looking forward to the addition of the Mardi Gras colours.
    Take it easy...

  3. So glad your feeling better Ron!! Your parlors look beautiful so many pretty pieces!! I would love to come and shop your home:)

  4. Your parlor is beautiful even naked (pardon the expression). It is a beautiful room and it will be gorgeous all decorated for Mardi Gras.
Get better soon...and hang in there- xo Diana

  5. Two shelves over the mantel?!? I would die! Love the mirror too!
Hope you are feelin' better quickly!!

  6. Everything looks beautiful even undressed-I hope you feel well enough to enjoy the season.

  7. Ron, your home is always beautiful, no matter what! I know you are itching to get the Mardi Gras decor up; but, we need you to take care of yourself!! Beautiful photos!

  8. Take care of yourself and get well. Your home looks lovely without any decorations, even though we know you are "itching" to put out the Mardi Gras decor. ;-)

  9. Ron - So glad you're on the mend. Scary stuff!

Your parlour and hall look fab. I especially like the vintage trophies and feathers. Very RL!

    Get well soon.

  10. Just discovered your blog and love, love, love it!! Thanks for bringing our Grand Lady NOLA to the blogspere. Merci Beaucoup!

p.s The crowns are to die for.
