We love Fairhope & a Happy Birthday Sis

J & I spent yesterday shopping away in Downtown Fairhope. Fairhope is such a quaint and lovely town complete with some of the friendliest people in the South.

We did lunch at our fave, The Fairhope Inn.

You can’t beat the delicious cocktails and food served on the charming glass-enclosed porch.

I devoured the fried green tomatoes topped with crab meat, and Jeff dined on the delicious pork roast.

And look who stopped by the Fairhope Inn to say “hello”, none other than the lovely Leslie Ann of Fairhope Supply Co. blog. She was as nice in person as she is on her fabulous blog. She is certainly in LOVE with Fairhope, and I can see why.

We then trekked on foot throughout the numerous specialty shops in Downtown Fairhope.

Last night, we finally dined at Wash House. It was delicious. {No food pics, sorry!}

J & I shared this delectable dessert, key lime bread pudding. We were told that it had been featured in Southern Living. Yum!

I must also wish my favorite sister a very happy 41st birthday today. She’ll be celebrating in Steamboat Springs, CO, so I do not feel sorry for her. Steamboat. Costa Rica. Live the life!

Lovin’ Fairhope, y’all!

  1. Fairhope looks like such a charming town--I can see why you love it so much. Natalie and I could do some serious damage in those shops! Enjoy the rest of your stay and your birthday weekend! Happy Birthday to Colette and Amanda! Cheers! xoxo

  2. Oh- Happy Fun Birthday, Ron. I love that Green Door place (as well as the rest of them). I love Leslie Ann (Fairhope), too. AND Amanda. OMGosh- You hit the big time with all those wonderful people, Ron
Happy Birthday to your sister, too. She is beautiful and that is a great picture of her and Honey. Both are gorgeous women.
And-I hate to "set you off" but you look darned good with a woman on each arm at the end there-----shhhhh---I'm not telling J that!!! lol ( xo Diana

  3. What a wonderful town. I love a small town with plenty of shops and eats!! Perfect vacation. Happy Birthday to Colette and Amanda as well! Someone apparently didn't get the message that the best birthday's are in March!! (my brother and I are all summer babies)

  4. You have a lovely family. Enjoy Fairhope.

  5. Hope you didn't buy too much.

  6. I'm so envious of all those great trips you and J take together. The food looked delicious. I must say I would've chosen what you did as I love fried green tomatoes and crab meat! I'm also a huge fan of key lime pie so that bread pudding you tried looked delicious too. What a great place to visit!

  7. What a wonderful shopping excursion! I'm adding this to my "bucket list!":-)

  8. What a fun time I had meeting both of you! Wish we could have spent more time visiting. Can't wait till you come back to Fairhope again!

  9. So jealous you got to meet Leslie Ann!! Now, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you!!!

  10. Well, I'm a jealous wreck! :) Such a wonderful adventure and meeting all these great ladies...way to go. I hope that you've had the very best birthday and that all your wishes come true! Your sister is gorgeous ~ great photo of her and Honey.

  11. Thanks for the ideas. We are stopping at Fairhope on our way home from Gulf Shores this summer.
