Loftin Oysters

Those who follow and read my blog have noticed my love affair for all things oyster. After reading Fairhope Supply Co. blog recently, I knew I had to add these ceramic oyster pieces to my vast collect of serving and cooking pieces.

made in usa

Loftin Oysters of nearby Destrehan, LA is a ceramic oyster shell and cooking accoutrement useful for the professional or amateur chef like J & I.

The ceramic oyster shells are ideal for chargrilling and cooking oysters and other seafood but can also be used to bake, broil, stuff and smoke.. The ceramic shells are safe and advertised as easy to cook with because the organic clay compounds are designed specifically to withstand high oven temperatures and a direct flame. You can use already shucked oysters or seafood from your local market and your favorite recipes. They clean easily with a mild detergent and are dishwasher safe. I cannot wait to try these out soon as I adore chargrilled oysters.

This recipe looks delicious too---Baked Oysters with Bleu Cheese, Bacon, and Sriracha.

Loftin Oysters, y’all!

  1. I bet you'll get a lot of use with those. Definitely unique and one of a kind!

  2. I bet they look just as nicely tucked in a bowl. They are fun and practical.

  3. Good morning, Ron! Love the oyster shells! I know you will get a lot of use out of them. Have a great day! xoxo

  4. Oh my gravy - what I wouldn't give for a plate of chargrilled oysters right now. I really shouldn't eat oatmeal while reading. Have a great week!

  5. I am waiting on my order too. Saw them on her blog. I need recipes for things non-oyster too. My hubby is not to into oysters. But I think they will be pretty displayed too.

  6. This is beautiful, didn't even know they existed!

  7. Catching up on my weekend blogs! Thanks for the mention, and I'm so happy you received your order! I truly loved these baking/grilling shells and can't wait to use them again. Maybe this time in the oven due to all the RAIN!

  8. Oh my...I just may NEED these ;-) Would be perfect for outdoor apps in the summer on the porch.
