School Daze

I never had a door piece for "Back to School", for I was never really sure that I wanted one. Who wants to be reminded that school is upon us. Right? But I put on my "big boy pants" and called upon Melissa Henry of Show Me The Door to execute my design. I went through darling Kay who sells Melissa's seasonal creations at Judy at the Rink.

The iconic New Orleans streetcar is painted in school bus yellow and features children on their way to school. School-related supplies are painted here and there. I love that Melissa used science-related symbols, equations, and equipment.

I have to say that the Back to School streetcar does bring a slight smile when I enter my home even if it means going back to the daily grind on Monday.

Back to School streetcar, y'all!

  3. The sign is cute. I always enjoy seeing you local finds. Is it me? It seems like just yesterday you were talking about the end of school activities and summer plans. The summer really did fly by this year. The kids are lucky to have you as their teacher.
