Mardi Gras {My Classroom}

It's carnival time here in New Orleans, so the classroom received touches of purple, green, and gold.

The windows overlooking the blacktop are decked in the periodic table, Happy Mardi Gras. Photos of my 7th grade students are arranged along the perimeter. The students have a love-hate relationship in taking these photos. Secretly, I think they LOVE it, but 7th graders like to be too cool for school.

I also like to dress our class skeleton, Einstein, in Mardi Gras finery. He watches over us, so he gets special treatment.

Here's wishing you a Happy Mardi Gras from the science lab at St. Paul's.
