Ain't That A Shame

New Orleans and the World lost a music legend yesterday, Mr. Fats Domino at the age of 89. His music has been the source of inspiration for so many artists for decades.

I can remember my Pappy singing, "I found my thrill on Blueberry Hill......" so many times. Fats' songs bring back so many memories especially of my grandparents.

What is your favorite Fats Domino tune?

May his spirit and his music live on and on and on.

RIP Fats, y'all!

  3. Ron,
So sad to about Fats passing and I know how much the people of New Orleans loved him. "Ain't that a Shame" was my favorite song of his. My Mother told me a great story today that she got a small portable record player for Christmas back in 1956 when she was 15 and got one record with it. Its was Fats Dominos "Blueberry Hill". She said she played that record to death! She said the following year she got to see him and Little Richard in concert when they were touring together.
