King Gator Flag

I recently had a bracket installed on the front post for a flag, and I quickly added my favorite Alexa Pulitzer King Gator flag. I love the color. It is classic New Orleans and looks tres chic with the style of the house. With the winds today, it is moving all about.

A Guide to New Orleans {Alexa Pulitzer}

I love a great guide to New Orleans. One of the most comprehensive and useful guides I have seen is from stationary designer, Alexa Pulitzer.

Flags Fly High

Flag poles and brackets were recently installed on my second floor balcony. I have been wanting to add various flags to the upper balcony for a while.

When I saw the New Orleans Tricentennial flag, I knew I just had to have it. New Orleans is celebrating its 300th birthday, and I love to show my love for this great City.

I also have been wanting the King Gator flag by local artist, Alexa Pulitzer. It was a perfect time to add one to my collection.

For the third flag, I added the blue fleur de lis flag. I do love how welcoming the three flags appear as they wave in the wind.

A Mid-City Charmer

I have been a huge fan of Alexa Pulitzer's stationery line for quite a long time. After all, I called upon her to design my tags, note cards, and logo for The Acorn at Wisteria Hill, my custom botanical design business. I was elated with her professionalism and smooth customer service skills.

I am always happy to peek into the lives of talented designers, so when Alexa's New Orleans home was featured in Garden & Gun magazine I could not wait for the read (and the peek into her style). I was not disappointed.

Take a look:

Thank You Very Much...

Gratititude is a virtue I feel we all need to cultivate.

Isn't it strange how the art of handwriting personal thank you notes is so passe' for so many individuals today?
I admire friends, family, and aquaintances who take the extra time, ponder, and put thought to paper just to say a simple "thank you".

I feel that a personal thank you note should be written on the following occasions:
  •  when you receive a gift
  •  when someone does something nice for you
  •  when someone stays in your home
  •  when someone cooks dinner for you
I always keep nice stationery close at hand for these numerous occasions. Nice, often custom stationery is always a must-have at my home. Scriptura, a local stationery shoppe on historic Magazine Street, offers a distinctive array of stationery. I always make this unique shoppe my first stop for distinctive "thank you" notes. Adler's and Home & Garden are also great choices for local Alexa Pulitzer designed choices.

Here are a few of my own favorites from my personal stationery collection.
