Spring Blooms {Agapanthus}

While on my Uptown walk yesterday, I was so impressed with the beauty of numerous agapanthus blooms.

The large purple clusters of flowers make a beautiful show.

From Better Homes & Gardens:

“Agapanthus is a landscape staple in warm-winter regions, and it's no wonder why. This easy-to-grow perennial produces colorful globes of blue or white trumpet-shape flowers in summer and fall. Its evergreen strappy leaves add texture to beds, borders, and containers.

Agapanthus blooms best in a spot where it gets full sun and has moist, well-drained soil. Divide it every three to four years to keep clumps healthy and vigorous.”

What’s blooming in your yard right now?

Join me again tonight for:

Agapanthus, y’all!

  1. Beautiful blooms! We're inundated with rain and storms so the "blooms" I have are almost hidden to avoid water log ~ :)

  2. Ron,
    What pretty blooms to see on your walk. They look so cheerful. I am just getting my garden flowers going up here in Chicagoland. We finally are getting some nice weather for planting.
    Have a great rest of the week and a wonderful week end.

  3. Wow that's a lot of agapanthus! I never heard of it until a few years ago when someone I know in California mentioned it. I have artificial ones! It must be quite a sight in person to see to many of them at once! I have tulips, daffodils and a primrose blooming!

  4. Good afternoon, Ron! I have had agapanthus in my front beds for years. I love them. Have a great evening! xoxo

  5. Ron, I apologize for not commenting on your recent posts. For some odd reason, your blog (along with several others) aren't updating on my blog roll when you post something new. That's how I know that you've posted something new. So, I'm playing catch-up. I love those pretty flowers. I haven't seen them in my area so we probably have winters that are too cold.

Thanks for reading and commenting @ The Uptown Acorn! I love hearing from you. Cheers, y'all!
