Halloween Facade {Halloween 2017}

First of all, thanks for the concern. New Orleans was spared the worst of Hurricane Nate. Thanks for asking and for checking in with me.

Today, I'd like to share the facade of the home. This year I used a number of felt bats both downstairs on the porch and upstairs on the balcony.

In the doors, I once again used the Halloween-inspired streetcars by local artist Melissa Henry of Show Me the Door. Each door is surrounded by blackened branches filled with orange lights and flickering flame lights.

Black crows are perched in the transoms, on the window sills, and on the posts. The crow wreath is a new addition to the Halloween decor and is from Grandin Road.

Witches' legs come out of the urn.

Pumpkins from Hazel's Market fill the porch entrances.

The front garden features my favorite terra cotta pumpkin from Boxwoods in Atlanta and orange marigolds for the season.

Here's hoping you and yours have a SPOOKtacular October!

  6. Glad you were spared from Nate. We were supposed to have more rain than we did, and it looks as though it's over this Monday morning.
    That front of the house - !!! It really looks fantastic. That crow wreath is totally creepy in a good way, love the legs, and the bats all over are great. Kids will be afraid to come up.....hmmm, maybe I should try that. ;)
