Laissez les bon temps rouler {Stair Parlor}

I always love using the stair parlor for my seasonal decor, and Mardi Gras is certainly no exception. The central table is the perfect place to display seasonal goods and curiosities.

I love keeping collections displayed together, so the Muses shoes look lovely around an arrangement of purple, green, and gold plumes. The base of the arrangement is a king cake work of art by NOLA artist Gwen Markovich of Dat's Awtsy. I cannot wait to add some great shoes from this years Muses parade, one of my favorites.

Nyx glittered purses are housed in a large clam shell below the table.

Several whimsical jesters hang along the ribbon lined staircase. The jesters were purchased years ago from Green Acres Nursery in Thibodaux, LA.

The season is coming full steam ahead with many of the first parades starting this weekend. Are you parade ready?

'Tis the Season {Stair Parlor: My Home Tour}

The Stair Parlor is always a fun place to decorate.

A large floral arrangement in Christmas greens, red berries, antlers, and my newest peppermint amaryllis {from Timothy De Clue Collection} signifies the Christmas season is here, and I am ready to celebrate. Cheers!

The stair banister is also adorned in live mixed greenery {Mitch's Flowers}. I love the scent of fresh greenery during the holiday season.

Happy Fall, y'all! {Stair Parlor 2017}

It's beginning to feel like Fall, y'all, and I and happy!

Fall is easily carried into the stair parlor by the addition of autumnal branches and berries upon the center table.

Oak leaf branches, bittersweet branches, and acorns add just the right seasonal touch. The vase is a faux bois mercury glass vase that I picked up years ago at a now-closed shop on Magazine Street. I have not used it in a while, but I am loving it again.

Carrying the look of Fall throughout the house makes me happy! Oh! And I like this monogrammed pumpkin too!

The Haunted Stair Parlor {Halloween 2017}

Venture further inside with me if you dare!

The Stair Parlor is always a favorite room in the home to decorate from season to season. Besides the wonderful center table, I always love a staircase.

Arrangement by Mitch's Flowers before the addition of feathered branches

I shared the arrangement made by my favorite gals at Mitch's Flowers on Magazine Street for the Fall season. The addition of crows and spiders make it Halloween ready. I also added (yes me!) feathery-ladened branches to add to the "WOW" factor. Halloween like Mardi gras is over-the-top. I think it is SPOOKtacular!

I also added wired black branch garland to the staircase. The addition of purple and orange wire lights makes it perfect. The glow at night is awesome.

Are you all decked out for Halloween?

We cannot forget Agnes!

Oakleaves, Staghorn fern, Branches!

I recently sent a bunch of branches, ferns, feathers, and curiosities to my friends at Mitch's Flowers to create a Halloween/Fall arrangement for the center stair parlor table. I love the addition of the crows and spiders which can be removed easily after Halloween. The container was purchased from Hazelnut and is a tortoise-style vase.

I do decorate for Halloween, but I do enjoy a classier version. Of course, I plan to add crows and bats to the chandelier during October.

Let the Halloween/Fall decorating commence! I hope to start the decor this coming weekend. I only wish the temperatures would cooperate, but I do not see improvement in the near future.

Mardi Gras {Stair Parlor}

The stair parlor is one of my favorite rooms to decorate seasonally, and it is a perfect room to "dress up" for the Mardi Gras season.

A arrangement of large plumes in purple, green, and gold makes a wonderful statement on the central clock table.

I surrounded the vase with a Dats Awtsy king cake as well as the collection of Muses shoes

The Nyx purses are tucked in the large shell under the table.
