Giving Thanks for ... {Acorn Door Decor}

Every year I enjoy hanging the large acorn door pieces by New Orleans artist Melissa Henry of Show Me the Door. I guess the Uptown Acorn has an affinity for acorns. And yes, I do.

The French symbol for prosperity, the acorn is also considered to be an emblem of luck, youthfulness and power, the acorn is a good luck symbol. It also represents spiritual growth.

The acorn has always been a favorite symbol of mine especially in decor and accessories. The tiny acorn grows into a majestic oak.

Thanks for Acorns, y'all!

  1. Hi Acorn! I've been enjoying your thankful series and I especially like today's post. Love the meaning behind acorns. Have a great day! Jane

    1. Thanks, Jane! I appreciate you stopping by and commenting.

  2. I love oak and acorn motifs as well. On my fireplace I have a pair of marble corbels with oak leaves and acorns carved into them that I just love.

  3. Good morning, Ron! I have loved those acorns since you first bought them. I thought about you on Sunday. I went to check the mail at my mother-in-law's house, and there is a huge oak tree in her front yard. The driveway is filled with acorns. I almost fell on my rear end as I was walking on them! ;) Have a great day! xoxo

  4. Ron, I love seeing your decor! That acorn is so pretty! I'm really enjoying your Thankful series!
