Tulip & Hydrangea Doorhanger

 It's definitely spring in New Orleans and that means a new doorhanger. Thanks to my contact at Southern Antiques in Laurel, MS and the local Mississippi artist, the newest spring doorhanger is such a warm, welcoming addition and adds the perfect spring touch to the front porch.

Easter Around the Cottage

 J & I love celebrating holidays, and Easter is no exception. Bunnies, eggs, and tulips abound through our home.

Today is the first day of spring break. I love having some time off from the hustle and bustle of teaching young minds.

Tulips Door Hanger

 Springtime at the Cottage calls for a new door hanger. I ordered yet another creation from TomTom and Company. The Easter and tulips door hangers were the reason for the pink spring blooms in the garden. The chinoserie vase in green is the perfect compliment for the pretty pink blossoms. The welcoming door hanger adds a punch of color to the entrance.

Tulips in City Park

 City Park is always so pretty at this time of year, so I was excited to see the photos of the blooming tulips by @nolamaven on instagram. Tulips do not last very long here, but while they are bloomed they are certainly show-stoppers.

Tulips on the Avenue

 On our walk today, J and I discovered these beautiful tulips in bloom on St. Charles Avenue. I love tulips. The problem is that here in south Louisiana they do not last very long. But they are beautiful while they are in bloom.

SPOOKTACULAR October {Fresh Tulips}

 How do October and tulips go together? I have no idea, but these tulips caught my eye when I walked into Whole Foods last week. The colors of the tulips look Fall to me. Along with coleus cut from the yard, the tulips look great on the dining table and in the sunroom. The tulips certainly have a mind of their own and grow where they want to,

I love how the coleus roots in the water. Each is planted in my garden afterwards.

Tulips {Happy Spring}

With the first day of spring upon us and the scare that is the coronavirus, I just had to add some fresh flowers to rooms in the house. Tulips, for the win! I love bunches of tulips and how they stretch where they want.

Take a look at these faux tulips I purchased online. You can get yours here.

Love this {Photo}

There is just something I love about this photo I posted earlier in the week. I think it is because it signals that spring is simply just around the corner. I always love when the tree's leaves are greening and the birds are chirping once again. What an inviting vignette!

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhh! J turns the big 5-0 on Sunday!!!

Happy Weekend, y'all!
