It's Christmas Time {Fresh Flowers}

It would not be the holiday season without fresh flowers around the house. I'm sure my friends at Mitch's Flowers were stunned when I asked for red carnations, but I love how they look massed together. And carnations last a long time. With the addition of cedar and southern kumquats, the arrangements are perfect.

In the master bath, the red carnations pop against the white and black accents.

An amaryllis from a friend and a paperwhite from Red Onion add to the spirit of the season.

It's Christmas Time {Happy Holiballs}

After seeing these lawn ornaments pop up on my feeds over and over, I finally ordered three holiballs in the colors of gold, red, and green. I love them. They were very easy to inflate and install. The large 30" holiballs are $60, and the smaller 18" balls are $40. I think they look great in the front garden.

It's Christmas Time {Wrapping Papers}

Merry Christmas from our house to yours!

I love a beautifully wrapped present. This year, I ordered custom printed papers from Society6 online in an antelope print. Complete with a red satin ribbon and pine greens, the paper is perfect. Gift tags by Dixie Delights compliment the designs.

It's Christmas Time {My Favorite Ornaments}

It is always fun to decorate the sunroom tree which is filled with ornaments that mean so much to J and I. Many of the ornaments are from our annual travels, so it is always fun to reminisce about each and every one.

These two will always remind us of the year that was 2020.

Filled with c7 colored bulbs, this tree has such a remarkable glow at night.

It's Christmas Time {St. Charles Avenue & Uptown Lights}

Last night, my sister, brother-in-law, and nephews took in some of the beautiful sights along St. Charles Avenue before dining at Ruth's Chris, a family favorite. Their favorite home is near the house and is illuminated with millions upon millions of white lights.

At the dismay of the nephews, I made them recreate an earlier photo in front of the beautiful display.

The other photos along the Avenue are from photographer David Mora. His photos always look better than mine. New Orleans is always magical during the holiday season.

And of course the Superdome!

It's Christmas Time {Quarantini Time: Christmas Card}

Once again this year, J and I headed to Scriptura for our annual Christmas cards, and we found the perfect one for 2020. Complete with cocktail-inspired confetti, this year's card is on point. It's Quarantini time!
